Yeah, my own messages end up in my junk too!
My van is still in winter storage so I can’t explain it any better, but it’s the lip that is closest to the windshield and is only really visible from the exterior looking in. It may not be a separate part but possibly part of a larger piece - can’t recall. But it’s an 85 which is definitely different than the earlier models.
All in all it’s definitely a want not a need.
