Hi Richard and others,
Richard, I’m sure looking forward to hearing about the steps to your return to the road in your vanagon. Hot water showers and all!
About grafting the van.
Many years ago My aunt had a beetle hit by a truck. My grandfather kept the totaled car. It was hit on the driver side.
He watched the news paper and eventually found a beetle for sale hit on the other side.
He brought both to a independent mechanic and traded the second beetle for the work it took to weld the good section to the damaged original beetle.
My cousin still has that beetle today.
so, this is a challenge but you have a lot of good karma on your side!
