Try Maaco if you want an inexpensive job.  I got my 87 Westy painted before the pandemic for 6K.  A real nice job done.  The guy who runs the body shop likes old VW's and me in particular. Dave B.the Boston one

hi all,

In advance I apologize for this overly broad topic...

I plan to have a tintop vanagon to be painted. Before going out and visiting some body shops I would like to have some price range to expect. I'd think a so-so or a moderate paint job result will be OK for my van, I don't want an expensive showroom result.

- Price of a so-so paint job - Price of a moderate paint job

Could you please share your experience (if you have any) even hearsays are OK too.

thank you in advance,

dan
