My 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Campmobile with original 2.1 waterboxer
consistently exceeds 20 mpg when highway driving. It is a manual 4 speed,
and I seldom exceed 60 mph and avoid interstate driving when possible. If
I push it to 65 for some reason, mileage drops to below 19, and sometimes
