Hi Marcus, I did this recently and used a 3M auto trim adhesive.

Then I had to re do as the seal was too stiff and didn’t let the lid close correctly.

Second time I just used rubber cement and it seems to be working fine.

It will get hot but so far that has not been an issue.

I’ll be interested in how it goes for you.
