I'm a big fan of the electric GoWesty kit - https://gowesty.com/products/gowesty-cruise-control, but it's a lot more expensive than when I did it. I believe it's still a Rostra unit.

It uses a VSS plugged into the speedo (you probably already have a VSS, seeing as it's a Subie engine) and works directly off the accelerator pedal so you don't need to run wires the length of the van. The controller sits behind the glove box.
