Hey Karl, your solution is outstanding, and there are numerous folks that can confirm. I was at my Subie Conversion mechanic....he had a whole host of starter motors laying right there on the concrete, like 5 of them. I forget the name of the company...I think it was in Orange County, CA. Mechanic picked the best of them at the time to replace....and it only lasted until I was 2000 miles from home. Lots of parking downhill and bump starting all the way back to San Diego. Personally, I think you deserve twice as much money, at least. Not just the product....but the keen insight, the inventiveness, the courage, the risk, all of it.

Van Cafe / RMW, Bus Depot, T3 Technique, Buslab, FAS, all currently
carry or use my adaptors. I may be forgetting a few others.
There 'was' one shop in the Seattle area some years ago that attempted
to copy and failed, then their machinist tried threatening me...sad
story...and there is a buggy shop in Ohio or somewhere in that part of
the country that has copied but the owner responded 'unfavorably' to my
concern. They have to live with themselves. As said, no patent, and
there are just a few unscrupulous people everywhere in the world.

When I said I recommend your adaptor he said he just purchased whatever was most convenient usually the Van Cafe version. This caused me to think VC had a different version. Sorry for any confusion, and very happy to hear you are the supplier.
