Honestly, I think with systematic diligence the whole issue could be readily solved.  The Scientific method; do one thing at a time on some willing guinea pigs, see the results.  Do another thing, watch the results.  Carefully log all of these events.  Start to perceive and understand correlations.  The problem is... Hey man, it's dinner time! 

I don't feel like it. I'm just lazy. Hey, I've got a boatload of problems and issues, far beyond this nonsense!  And anyway, I don't even see the problem you are speaking of. Yep.
