Subject: Stranded in my driveway as I try to leave on a 10 day trip :(
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed

Hi,

I have a 1991 Westfalia with a GoWesty 2.3 engine.

It fires and runs if I give it a lot of gas (2000+ rpm), but won't idle or even drive. It's running VERY rich based on the smell of the exhaust.

Last night I did an oil change, topped up the coolant and it ran perfectly.

The only thing I did this morning was to troubleshoot some trailer wiring by opening up the "Wire distribution box" and checking the connections there.

There is a Grey/White wire that is not connected to anything and according to the Bentlwy (97.205, connection T1m and T1N) it should be connected to something, specially since it says it goes to the Digifant Control Unit.

My "gut" says it's something inside the "Wire Distribution Box" because that's the only place I messed around since it was last running.

I have checked the AFM connection, disconnected the O2 sensor, made sure I could hear the high and low limit switches on the throttle body.

I am so at a loss and depressed right now... I'm still working through the Bently wiring diagram, but does anyone have any insight of what might be the issue?

Like I said earlier, the biggest clue is that (it smells like) it is running very rich.

Thanks, Steve Williams
