General motors and Ford both have electric crate motors now. Maybe other
manufacturers too? Since they are designed for retrofitting into other
vehicles it seems like this would avoid all the hassle of trying to get a
vanagon to have all the inputs that a converted tesla system would be
looking for, in order to operate properly. sounds like Ford's is just the
motor but GM's is all the parts needed including battery.
