A big Congratulations on that one.  It can be a tough road with insurers.  After all, they are in business to reject your claim.  That's how they make money.  Quite a few years ago. I had a case that went to state arbitration/arbiter.  My insurance company sent someone to argue against me!?!.  I was shocked!  I won the case, but the insurance company said they didn't recognize the finding and it cost me my $500.00 deductible.  It still galls me to this day. Vanagon got whacked by a Tesla running red light almost 3 months ago; $15K damage since frame is bent. My insurance (Farmers) said initially it was a 50/50 situation and offered $5K. After pointing them to The Samba to see "current Market Value", they improved things to 75/25 in my favor and paid $10.2K. There was a dispute from Geico, the Tesla Guy; it went to Insurance Arbitration....and I think more evidence was presented including Tesla dash cam. Farmers came back with "we will pay 100% of damages and refund your $500 deductible". So good news there, and also no rise in annual premium. I drove pretty smart before, but now I drive even smarter, checking everything thrice!

Really the only thing was the garage and the second daily driver.  In my case I don’t remember any other restrictions.  And I put the values very high on both vans.  I wanted to be assured of a return that would really let me get a comparable replacement vehicle in case of disaster.          This was Hagerty Eric Caron
