Just a comment on USAA....

I was a USAA customer for many years, since I finished Naval Aviation officer Candidate School back in 1981.

But I have now completely dumped them from my life, except for the credit card which is coming soon.  

They just aren't the company they used to be.  First I discovered that they were grossly overcharging me on my Homeowner's Insurance.  In passing I talked to a AAA agent about it and she found me a company, as good or better than USAA, with a premium that was less than HALF what I paid USAA.  That was over $2000 in savings.

Just last month, like you I became concerned about my auto policy.  The AAA agent had worked the problem in the past and couldn't beat USAA.  This time she beat them hands down with their own insurance.

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but after I learned about the Homeowner's situation, I got a very paid taste in my mouth for USAA.
