Hi Jamie, The only sure repair in my opinion is to replace the large rubber head coolant gasket. I had a similar leak for years and put off the repair, This delay probably has some negative effects for the engine but I'm not knowledgeable enough to delineate what they may be. The long time List gurus can chime in. I'm in the process of replacing my leaky gasket. Rick
