Yes,
I use GPS to calculate the speed of the vans.
The 85, as you noted, is now just about accurate. My calculations show about 4 miles difference per 50 miles consistently on trips. So I actually go 54 miles per 50. Speed is just about perfect on the speedo with current set up.
On my 84 I also have larger tires on GW 16 inch rims.
According to my GPS the speed and distance match almost exactly. On the 84.
