Fair comment Lars and whining is allowed :)

I bought the South African kit about five years ago and am satisfied with the installation and performance. I am not particularly handy but had no issues. Just another option!

Very pleased with the kit and easy installation, except the last step. This is related to something Dennis said recently about getting a good part, going back to buy more and finding something junky has been substituted. If you watch the GW video, the job is finished by plugging one end of the main harness into the new board and the other end into the connector on the factory harness. Easy. But they have deleted the connector that mates with the harness, so that kit harness is left with 14 bare wires that have to be spliced to the factory harness after you cut off the factory connector. That is a lot of crimp connections, working over, around or through the steering wheel and down in the hole in the dash. Then needing to heat-shrink all those butt connectors down in that hole without cooking everything else. > > I don’t think that issue is a reason to not buy the kit, and maybe it is encouraging to someone that making a bunch of crimp connections is the hardest part of the job. Whatever the reason for deleting that connector, I thought it worth comment, and it gave me a chance to whine. >
