Maybe to reduce cost, who knows? From experience some vans have had mods where the wires do not align, and the wires need to be matched up. An annoyance is that once the original harness is cut and modified it is no longer easy to just swap clusters for testing or worse, you are now a bit locked in to using the GW dash kit going forward. I have had 2 of their circuit bords fail. The circuit for the dynamic oil pressure switch failed. The diagnostic trick was when I noticed the oil pressure warning light was flashing to the ignition pulses. &nbsp;<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>As for splicing I use good quality shrink tube attached butt connectors. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Dennis<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></p></div></body></html>
