Don’t underestimate Vanagon Karma. 

        We just had a surprise visit from list member Dennis Haynes.  The double grandpa stopped in when he realized his travels were taking him past my house. 

        After catching up on family, and getting coffee ready for his second half of his journey.  I asked a VW favor. 

        I asked Dennis to adjust my scan gauge as we had some time ago accidentally set it to defaults.  I was hoping to get the speedo closer. In the process he noticed it was set to 3.0 liter not 2.3.  It is just possible this could fix my recent hot start issue.  I’ll report back after I go for a long enough trip.

I think the vanagon good karma energy was on my side. 

Also, received several emails from people with busses wanting to join our summer camp out for the first time.  Hard to believe it but the bus gathering is as large or larger every year. 
        More young folks showing up with vanagons they have converted themselves to Subaru or have rebuilt older air cooled motors on their own. 
Any time the first electric vintage bus could show up.

        I’m continually surprised with the joy and fun these vans bring to people.

And, Dennis, thanks for stopping in, and really we don’t have to play with a van when you come!  But then again it is good fun to do so!
