If the insurance company really agreed to pay for repairs at your choice of shops, then wherever you have to go at whatever costs the shop requires should be honored. Of course, you may have limitations on the insurance company's loss liability, with a deductible. And once the insurer has paid, don't expect a renewal on your policy. It almost certainly will not be forthcoming, unless the cost to repair is pretty small.
