Subject: help 2 piston caliper and rotor removal
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"

My 85 westy has the older style 2 piston Gerling caliper. I want to replace the pads, bearings and rotors. Looking at the driver side I see the drive-out pins and how to remove pads & carrier bolts but because of the hard brake lines I don't see a way to swing the caliper up & off the rotor. There's no way to remove the brake lines from the bracket that holds the soft brake lines to the hard lines on the caliper without detaching the lines at the bracket, Looks like the caliper would have to be removed in order to get the rotor off. I don't want to open the brake line and have to bleed if possible. Any suggestions are welcomed. Spencer
