I did this on our 72 bus back in 1982 also. We got the Weber version. The hardest part was trying to get the jetting right.

That's the best part of the kit. I surprised people that way by taking off like a dragster. :-)

We had to do the same thing. We ended using a brass sleeve bolted through the sheet metal. The cable was also extended by soldering a small tube onto it. Looked good.

I used some filters at a local speed shop that bolted right in place. They were about 8 inches in diameter and 4 inches high. Looked cool to my V8 friends.

Yup. The mileage was pretty good with it. The 2nd barrel was fun.
