Since not too many of us have Porsche flat-6s in the engine compartment
(but some of us have inline-5s :-) ), it would seem prudent to stay on
the right half of the lane to afford those with suicidal tendencies a 
better view, as Matthew pointed out.  I think common courtesy is a dying
art form out here...
