Yeah I tried it. It was recommended by a lot of people, so I did it. My conclusion was that it was no better than a good coat of paint. I let it sit by itself without paint for a week and it started rusting. I figure if it's going to rust on its own, then it's not really doing much and it'll rust if any moisture gets through the pain anyway, right? I sanded the rusted stuff off again and put a coat of primer on it.

Nothing really stops rust here in the northwoods. I think Joel is right. You can't have too many coats of paint. And the miracle cures are just that, miracles.

I once bought a set of Wonder-Wipers. My wife kept saying, "Yeah -- you wonder why you bought 'em" <grin>.
