Thanks to all who responded with suggestions on what to do about the hard to find exhaust crossover pipe on my '80 Vanagon. Do to not being able to find the original part and time constraints with getting ready to go away next week, I got the alternate exhaust package from my local VW guy. Looks pretty good, and I still have the catalytic converter. Other replacement packages don't seem to have this and I was afraid of having trouble with inspection. So tomorrow morning we're set to leave to go camping with my son's scout troop - I'm in charge - what a joke :) . Already have tons of stuff to do to get ready and this morning the house air conditioning goes out - needs new fan motor. Go to get that and the van has a flat tire! I must be jinxed. Got to get away to the woods. Nothing to break down there. Thanks again to all! Have a good week in civilization! <<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>> <<>> Don Geiger <<>> <<>> dgeiger@k2nesoft.com <<>> <<>> '80 Westy in NJ <<>> <<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>>
