?? i put an aftermarket cruise control on my 80 bus and didn't have any trouble at all. try mounting the computer for the cruise control up front under the dash, and running long wires back to the engine area. that's the the way i had mine set up.

pretty much ... you can buy that shield from the dealer, and it fits onto the distributor cap. really really tight fit, too. then you have to ground the little strap to the distributor body (but there is a lug for that already).
