11/1/58 - From now on all VW engines are manufactured in the Hanover VW Plant, in addition to VW Commercial Vehicles.

11/25/60 - Decision taken to establish the "Stiftung Volkswagenwerk" (Volkswagenwerk Foundation) to further science and technology through research and teaching.

11/29/68 - The 15 millionth VW since the end of the war comes off the assembly line.

11/26/76 - 30,000,000th Volkswagen produced

11/20/78 - Volkswagen shares listed on the Vienna stock exchange. The "Iltis", the new multi-purpose 4WD off-road vehicle is introduced to the public.

11/81 - The 40,000,000th VW built

11/8/82 - The Wolfsburg plant produces its 20 millionth vehicle, a Volkswagen GOLF turbo diesel.
