When I rebuilt a SAAB V4 engine a few years ago I had it balanced by a speed shop. It cost ~$200 or so and was worth every penny. I was able to take POUNDS off the flywheel and the engine ran smoother than stock. Without the extra flywheel weight it revved real nice.
