Subject: How prevent cancer (rust) in Northlands?

Dear Friends (especially those in the Northeast, Great Lakes, Midwest areas):

Still being *just* a Wannabus, I'm still having these questions pop into my head...

Situation:

I'm interested in a syncro for a daily driver. I live in Cancer central and I don't want my (future) treasured bus to disintegrate.

I'm betting that if I bring a bus up here from the Southwest, South or So Cal, since it's never been exposed to salt, it would deteriorate rapidly in areas where paint is chipped on the underside, etc.

What steps can I take to protect my investment? Undercoating? repainting with chip-resistant paint? Weekly washes? Tons o' wax?

Anyone?

Jim. (no longer wavering) Wannabus

I speak for myself and nobody else; they like it better that way. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jim Johnson jimjohnson@novagate.com Digital Imaging Technician 616-725-6345 voice The Muskegon Chronicle USA 43.15 N 86.20 W >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "The finest carver cuts little" -- Tao Te Ching
