They will work just fine, however it's next to impossible to find one that will fit under the Vanagon driver's seat without serious modifications. ---------- >From: Maher, Steve (SD-MS)[SMTP:SMAHER@gi.com] Sent: Monday, May 06, 1996 9:08 AM ========================================================================= Date: Sender: Vanagon Mailing List <vanagon@vanagon.com> From: Subject: re: deep cycle battery

I keep seeing in the paper, ads for marine batteries. Aren't these deep-cycle types, used for electric trolling motors etc.? Why wouldn't they work as auxiliary batteries in Westies, to power the stereo, lights, fridge etc. when stopped? My FALPS even has them, at prices comparable to auto starting batteries (under $100).
