Thanks for the advice. I managed to find a freshly rebuilt Audi 5000 Turbo automatic for $450 exchange. I also may fall into a good deal on an 83 Vanagon automatic for far less than that. Which deal I'll get? I'm not sure at this time. I'll keep the List posted on the swap. Thanks to all who responded to me personally with advice on this matter. 8-)
