I think you could run without the cutoff valve as long as you plug the hole in the intake header. Otherwise, you have a massive vacuum leak. -Mark McCulley ---------- >From: Ian Corner[SMTP:ianco@ida.liu.se] Sent: Friday, June 14, 1996 2:33 AM ========================================================================= Date: Sender: Vanagon Mailing List <vanagon@vanagon.com> From: Subject: Help: electro magnetic cut off valve Hi can anyone tell me if running my 2ltr '78 without the electro magnetic cut off valve (Haynes page 54, item 60) for a while would be a problem? There are twin carbs if this helps in giving any answer. I am trying to get a replacement but not at the costs around here!
