I have sucessfully used a grinder to clearance bell housings before, = with no adverse effects.

Be careful with CO2 around burning magnesium. I have a demo tape at = school thet shows a burning magnesium ribbon put into a hollowed out = piece of dry ice. The thing REALLY burns in that stuff
