I was visiting a local VW shop here in Seattle this week and the owner said 
he was working on putting together a 2.4l version of the waterboxer. Said 
he wanted to put it into a syncro. I told him there were a few people I was 
in contact with that would be interested, should he be successful. I'll 
keep up with him and post something to the list if this really happens.
