All right, all right... enough insinuations about my inadequacies...

Of course I drive a manual box - 5 speed no less. Would any macho guy drive an auto ;{> ?

Since there have been so many off-list enquiries, let me repeat for all of V@L.

Mileage is good - factors are/may be...

1. Manual 5 speed 2. Extensive use of cruise control 3. Speed limited to 105 kph (65 mph) 4. Tires inflated to recommendations (G64s at 51, 56 psi) 5. Careful engine breakin 6. Minimal/rare use of A/C
