	Verify that your accelerator cable is returning all the way and that
the plastic tube it runs through is correctly seated on all the its junctions.
I had this problem (or what seemed like the one you describe) and I pulled
the tube (which had worked itself off of the juction at rear of the driveshaft
protector bars), cleaned off some grit from the end (the accelerator cable
itself was encased in it own plastic sheath so I didn't do much more that
clean old grease off and work a little into the end of the cable), relubed it 
and put it all back together... No more high idle problem...
