Well I have Done it,I bought a 1997 EV winnie Two weeks ago lot of differences between the two some bad some good In all honesty I would say the westie version camper is better thought out almost like one designer went camping and the the other didnt... Any way in order to make my payments I have to sell my 86 westie.. Polar white,tan interior,223k miles,with the following age related sugery taken care of: heads done @160k new clutch at 215k mls new water pump (2nd) at 219k mls new micheline XC LT4 195/75 r14 tyres at 215k mls new pop top rubbers all round at 213k mls new thermostat houising at 219k mls new air sensor new idle control unit (Whew! size to cost ratio ridiculas) gear shift now working fine new shocks all round 215k miles Heil square spotlights and black bra (VW) all for $7000.........cal me at 910-297-4202 Greensboro nc Dave..97 winnie,86 westie(for sale)
