Subject:      Exhaust pipes

I just replaced my front crossover pipe and it smells awful, I think it = is the paint burning off the pipe, it is a Jopex that is (was) painted = gray. I guess the other thing it could be is the anti-seize compound, = is this normal, how long should the smell hang around?=20
