... okay, okay, there is no such thing as toooooo muuuuuuch POWER and Yes! I have fantasies of passing cars while towing a sail boat up a hill, A/C On, on the freeway. Pipedreams aside however, I was wondering if the vanagon, circa 1985, which is designed for ~82 horses, might not have trouble with double the horsepower which would be provided by the 6 cylinder Subaru. It just seems possible that the clutch, tranni, motor mounts, etc., might not be able to handle that much additional torque and power. Since I'm basically ignorant about this stuff, I was just wondering, as I really am interested in the Subaru upgrade. I am however willing to wait for the right engine to hit the local junk yard.
