I find it useful to have someone finally be able to compare the Westfalia to the Winnebago; I last looked at a new Westy some years ago; here is some additional info: 1. I was turned off by the floor-to-ceiling carpeting in the Westy: hard to keep clean, gathers dust, smells after a while, cann't just get in with dirty boots and wipe the floor later. I must admit that after 18 mos of owning a 95 Eurobago, the inside upholstery is starting to have an odor in warm weather; wonder how many other owners are bothered by it. 2. I thought the european models are available only in the standard length, not the extended 131 in wheelbase sold in N. America 3. for several years now prices and exchange rates have made it impractical to buy and import from Germany Andy Mera |
