Alternator probably has bad brushes. The light does not care what is connected. Only if the alternator is "turned on" or not. Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon mailing list On Behalf Of Scott Durrant Sent: Sunday, August 24, 1997 1:42 PM To: Vanagon@GERRY.SDSC.EDU Subject: 2nd Battery I am having some charging problems and think it may be the marine battery (the charging (idiot) light stays on while I'm driving, the battery indicator light is yellow, oh, and the warranty just expired:) I have an isolator in the circuit, and am wondering how I can safely disconnect the 2nd battery to see if the idiot light turns off? -------------------------------------------------------------------- Scott Durrant (scott.durrant@earthling.net) | ... send lawyers, guns Work Phone 801.464.6205 | and money ... -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
