Subject: Re: importing a EV Westi
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hello all camping nuts,

Often I see this mails about Westfalias and you US members who like to import one. You all knows the Vanagon Westfalia and get knowledge about the following EV Westfalia. But there are many, many other manufacturer having greate ideas how to convert an EV into a camper. Not only Germany, but there are the most. Yes, it seems not to be possible to import a vehicle to US. A few manufacturer offers complete conversion kits to convert your EV by yourself, or is there anyone who likes to do the job as professionel? But you will have any options you like to have: High roof, pop top, great or small; Seats in three rows, adjustable, turnable, removable, foldable; Furniture, fixed or removable, with or w/o wardrobe; Kitchen/sink in rear or on left/right side; A small washingroom, if you like to spend the space for it. All you need is an empty EV, a container full of parts and hands on the right place.

I'm getting tired reading mails only refering to Westfalia. Is there a Winnebago driver or any other US converted camper pilot on the list? What about your experiences on your vehicle? Is there nothing else than the Winnebago as a late US EV Camper?

This is not agains the previous mails comparing Winnebago against Westfalia, but please, don't forget the others.

Helmut '80 Camper - non-Westie
