Thanks for the tips. I was wondering how much hose to buy. I was planning to do this last weekend until I ran into the compression clips. I finally got one of them off by opening it a little bit and sliding it over the hose. What was VW thinking when they put these on? Actually they probably sell a tool for $500 that removes them. Anyway, I decided to wait on the project until I had more time.
