My first time pulling the Vanagon motor. Had it down to a science in my '66 microbus (:20 minutes was my record), but there was a nice apron to remove and it slid out like a drawer on the floor jack. What's the deal with the tranny support and how to do this at home in the garage? R. Bently manual of course shows all the special VW tools to sling it up, lower the motor from the lift, etc. Is there a Muir style procedure (rocks, floor jacks, ramps and 2x4s) for this written somewhere? Thanks! Michael Jarvis '84 Vanagon '79 911SC '73 SuperBug-Convert. |
