Dual fuel tanks in a Syncro. I've noticed that the 2WD fuel tank has a "tunnel" in the top side of it about the right size for a drive shaft to run through. I'd really love to have the extra range that another 16 gallons would give me. It appears that Adam did not do this customization, but rather the PO. Adam, how are the dual tanks managed in your van? One feeds the other? A manual valve to switch from one to the other? Are they filled independently? Has anyone on the list added the 2WD fuel tank to a Syncro? If so, what was involved? How did you route the fuel "plumbing"? Did it decrease ground clearance? If so, what is the new ground clearance? Were you able to keep the protection bars in place or make custom ones that allow for the extra fuel tank? Regards, Jim Davis |
