Reading the wiring diagram: If anyone can read an American drawn wiring diagram its the same just truned on it's side. The top of the wiring is the power source the fuse box, (if i remember correctly, I don't have the thing in front of me) In the fuse box consist of swithced and unswitched power. On the bottom is the ground track. Each line is numbered. Lines that stop at a number continue in the diagram to that numbered line. Each line also has a color. That is how you find that color. brn/gry is the color Brown and Grey etc. Brown in VW's is usually Ground. NEVER CUT WIRES! FOR ANY REASON. If you need to get to a wire thru the insulation you a pin.
