There are no parts at the engines itself which could prevent using automatic gearboxes. Winkler offers same conversion kits for manuals or automatics. He attaches Ford V6, Audi 5 cylinder gas and 5 or 4 cylinder TDI engines to the automatic gearboxes. But he strongly recommend not to exceed a 115 PS power limit for the engine.
