re: tv & vcr I had a small 5" b&W tv (ac/dc) with an external antenna connection. Bought an inexpensive ac/dc video cassette player (note: does not record) for $99 from Best Buy or Circuit City. used a 75 TO 300 ohm converter (radio shack). I can now plug the video player into the tv and power both the tv and player with 12 volts from the cigarette lighter. it is a lifesaver with children. it is the one time they are allowed to watch so many movies. feel slightly guilty about allowing them to zone out on long trips but driving long hours is torture for small children so this keeps everybody calm. I like the front arm mount idea also and will look into making something so units are fixed. eric henning@fp.com 80 westy ps - thanks to everybody who responded to my full tank gas dribble and jerk & lurch. |
