Side comment: Last summer I was at the "Bug Fest" in Toronto. While there I wandered over to the factory where they rebuild the VW motors. They were doing inventory check that day and one of the suckers (employees) was having a smoke-break. We chatted and I LISTENED. Apparently, they are not over worked doing VW rebuilds and also do Chyster motor rebuilds to take up the slack. Another interesting item: All USA bound VW rebuilds get NEW HEADS; Canadian customers get USED HEADS. He said that they have a problem getting enough usable used heads. Like this is world shattering news. eh! Larry, Ontario, Canada ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chuck Hill wrote: > <snip> Do any of you know > if it's possible to get an engine out of VW, and how.
