Hmm, It looks like I better get that skid plate off and get some real anwers. The PO said it was a 2wd tank and holds something like 17-18 gallons which sound about right for the 2wd tank. I'd be glad to take a look and photos once I can get the old grey mare (78 Saab 99) out of the left bay where it is undergoing an engine rebuild. The other bay if for my wifes 74 99 and I'd be dead if I took the syncro in there for some "inspection" work.
