The Digijet system is based on the L-Jetronic. Yours, being a later version, would be based upon the L-Jetronic with Lambda. There are some significant differences in the computer (I think the Bosch units have larger maps, and "learn" a bit) but not in the rest of the system. K-Jetronic is "continuous injection" (rather than the pulsed electronic variety) and is used in the Rabbits and Golfs and other cars. I do not know if VW has a different name for this, or if they used the stock Bosch stuff. Of course, I don't have my copy of Probst in front of me, and my memory is known to be flawed... malcolm |
