Hello: I need assistance in tracking down a 60 milli-amp (between battery neg. post and chassis) short that kills my battery in 2-3 days. My '85 Westy reads only 5 milli-amps (dash clock?). Removing fuse #9 drops drain to zero. PO has already replaced battery and alternator. Looking at the Bentley schematic, I pulled the connectors to the lite and ignition switch without success before I ran out of daylight. Other than inoperative interior lite doorswitches and brake warning lite and a really pathetic sounding horn (horn & relay also replaced by PO) I have not noticed any other electrical problems. Are there any experienced trouble-shooters out there who can give me some ideas about which components or wire harness connectors I should try next? Please send responses to chiang1@usa.net as I will have to leave the list for a few days. Thanks in advance!! Cary |
